Bridgeport Police arrested a city man in connection with the shooting death of a city teenager.
According to police, Michael Majors was arrested for the death of 14-year-old Luis Colon. Colon was gunned down as he stood in front of the Stylz Barber Shop.
Police said Majors and 17-year-old Trey Kaiser approached a group of about 10 men standing on the sidewalk and opened fire on the group. Colon was struck in the chest by one of the bullets.
The group then returned fire and Kaiser was struck in the leg by gunfire. Colon was rushed to the hospital, but died a short time later at Saint Vincent's Hospital from his injuries.
Police said surveillance footage from a nearby camera showed the shooting, which Majors initially denied being a part of. Majors then admitted to being the shooter. He was arrested and charged with murder and held on a $1 million bond.
