A deadly crash closed part of Route 6 in Bolton on Friday afternoon.
Connecticut State Police closed the road, which is also known as Hop River Road, between South Road and Johnson Road.
The crash was reported at a little before 2:30 p.m. At about 7:30 p.m., police said the road was expected to open shortly after.
Emergency officials, including LIFESTAR, responded to the scene.
Police said 52-year-old Esperanza Christenbury, of Manchester, died at the scene. The vehicle was being driven by 40-year-old Michael John Therriault, also of Manchester, who was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The vehicle collided with another vehicle driven by 27-year-old Fabian J. Rodriguez, of Willimantic. Rodriguez and passenger 31-year-old Elliot J. Garcia were both taken to area hospitals with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
