Interstate 84 westbound in East Hartford has reopened after being closed for nearly four hours following a deadly crash.
State Police said the crash occurred around 4 a.m. right near exit 58.
The vehicle's single occupant was killed when they lost control of the vehicle which crashed and then caught fire.
Traffic was being diverted onto Route 5/15 south while crews worked to investigate and clear the crash wreckage.
Officials have not identified the victim at this time.
The crash remains under investigation by the Connecticut State Police and the East Hartford Fire Department.
