Phone threat prompts evacuation, dismissal of Stamford High School

Posted: Updated:
STAMFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A phoned in threat forced the evacuation of a high school in Stamford.

Stamford Public Schools said someone called the bomb threat into Stamford High School Tuesday afternoon.

Students were evacuated according to the school's protocols.

Because of the cold temperatures and the threat's proximity to the end of the day, school officials elected to dismiss students for the day. Buses were called.

There's no word on if this threat is connected to threats in West Haven and Bristol.

Information about a potential suspect was not available.
