A Ledyard man is facing charges after allegedly trying to have sex with a mother and her two underage daughters in Colorado.
Jason Tremblay, 28, reportedly drove from his home in Connecticut, to Greeley, Colorado to allegedly have sex with the mom and her two daughters, who officials said in this case was actually an undercover Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent.
Homeland Security agents have been working to target individuals who use a particular website to sexually exploit children.
Officials said users may create and join a variety of groups based on their sexual interests.
Users can also post advertisements on the website to meet other members with the same interests.
Last November, agents were working undercover in Greeley, using the fictional persona of a single mother with two children, ages 10 and 14.
The agent posted an advertisement on Nov. 30, and allegedly received an email from Tremblay, asking if the mom was “active with your girls.”
Other communications between the “mom” and Tremblay continued after that.
On Jan. 6, the agent received a photo of Tremblay, and after agreeing to a meeting that would involve a sexual encounter, Tremblay began driving on Feb. 2.
On Feb. 4, he was confronted by a Greeley police officer and was arrested by Homeland Security agents and Colorado State Patrol.
Tremblay is facing numerous charges, including aggravated sexual abuse with children.
He was released on a $50,000 bond.
