HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

With Valentine's day approaching this weekend, couples across the country are searching online for the perfect gift.

The website Estately, which focuses on online home searches, compiled a list of Valentine's Day related gifts each state Googles more frequently.

Using data from Google Trends, the website compiled a list for each state of how frequently people searched for a specific item, service or genre--not what people in each state Googled the most, according to Estately.

According to the site, people in Connecticut search for Edible Arrangements and smoking jackets more frequently than people in other states.

The first result shouldn't come as a huge surprise for residents, as the company is headquartered in Wallingford.

Founded in Hamden in 1999, the company has grown substantially and now operates 33 stores across the state as well as 14 other countries.

What about smoking jackets?

There's no clear reason why people in the state search more for the evening wear, but recent state data shows more men were more likely than woman to smoke.

According to data from the state Department of Public Health, 480,000 people--or 18% of the adult population smoke, and cigarettes are the most popular form of tobacco.

At $3.65, Connecticut has the second highest cigarette tax, according to Tobacco Free Kids

Perhaps an elegant smoking jacket goes well with the high cigarette tax?

A quick search on Google Shopping revealed prices ranging from $99.99 at Kohl's for this Residence Velour Smoking Jacket to $2,960 for a Givenchy Classic Smoking jacket

Either way, the data shows people in Connecticut strongly support both good and bad eating and lifestyle habits.

Happy Valentine's Day, Connecticut. Support our local economy and enjoy eating some fresh fruit from this Valentine's Day bouquet. And light up a pack of Marlboros to go with your fancy jacket this Sunday.
