VERNON, CT (WFSB) -

Vernon police were investigating for most of the day on Wednesday at a condo on Linden Place after two bodies were found inside.

Police were called to the home shortly after 10 a.m. after a maintenance worker found the bodies.

The bodies of a man and woman were found inside the condo. Police said they believe this to be a murder-suicide. According to police, the man and woman were in a relationship.

Detectives were seen most of the day going in and out of the home.

Police said there is no danger to the public at this time.

"We are not searching for any other parties. We are also not searching for any weapons. We believe everything involved in this crime was found at the scene," said Vernon Police Lt. William Meier.

Neighbors said they have seen police at the home before, and police said this is something they are looking into.

"There's been stuff happening at the apartment before so it's not really a surprise that this is happening now," said neighbor Daisy Skinner-Steele.

Detectives are conducting a joint investigation with the State’s Attorney Office for the Tolland Judicial District and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Police said a final cause and manner of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner and autopsies on the victims are scheduled for tomorrow.

The identities of the victims have not been released. It is unclear if the couple had children.
