Two people were arrested in connection with a home invasion that happened in Shelton.
Police said 21-year-old Ricardo Llera and 41-year-old Ray Sosa, both of Derby, entered a home on Geissler Drive on Dec. 23.
With a gun, police said they demanded money from a man and a woman who lived there.
The homeowners reported that the suspects took cash, cell phones and other items.
The victims were not hurt.
A search warrant executed at Sosa's home on Minerva Street in Derby revealed items taken from the home in Shelton along with the firearm. The victims' cell phones were among the items recovered.
After investigating further, police said they learned that Llera knew the victims and planned the home invasion.
The case remains under investigation.
Police charged Llera with conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit home invasion and intimidating a witness. He was arrested on Tuesday and faced a judge on Wednesday.
Police charged Sosa on Thursday with home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and criminal possession of a firearm. Sosa was already in custody on unrelated charges.
Both were held on a $75,000 bond.
Police said they expected to make more arrests.
