Norwich police search neighborhood after reports of shots fired

NORWICH, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Norwich responded to Sandy Lane on Monday afternoon after reports of shots being fired in the area.

While police are searching the area, there are no reports of anyone having been shot.

A heavy police presence was reported in the area at about 4 p.m. on Monday.

About an hour and a half later, it appeared a SWAT unit made their way inside a home in the area, but nobody was taken out of the home.

No further details were released.
