Police are investigating after they say a woman was stabbed six times while trying to break up a fight in Connecticut.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of a Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Hamden.
Police say the 26-year-old New Haven woman was stabbed in her chest, back, shoulder and hand by another female as she tried to intervene in an altercation.
She was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital. It's not clear what her current condition is. Authorities didn't immediately identify her.
