A dog roaming on the highway briefly shut down Interstate 84 in Southington Wednesday morning.
State police said the closure was on the westbound side near exit 31. It reopened around 10:15 a.m.
Troopers were seen on Department of Transportation cameras attempting to wrangle the dog. It was captured.
There did not appear to be any injuries.
State police jokingly posted to Twitter that they had "one in custody... tennis ball and treats for all involved."
