NEW BRITAIN, CT (WFSB) -

The New Britain Bees hit the field in just two months, and many across the Hardware City are buzzing with excitement.

"It's good, it's good for business, it's good for the town - especially for the kids, sometimes they put fireworks out there at night and it's great, I'm glad they brought another team in,” said William Cotto, of New Britain.

The season kicks off on April 21, bringing great things to the city, according to the new general manager.

"Having them as partners is unbelievable and we're going to put on an amazing product,” said Patrick Day.

Tickets are already on sale, and the team is now looking for host families for 25 players, who would basically live with you and in return, you get tickets and other game perks.

"I'd let them live with me if I could go to every game,” said Tirrell Feaster of New Britain.

"The guys in this league are really mature, they tend to average out at 27 to 29 years old so they're not young kids,” Day added.

There are 140 games with half on the road, so your potential new roommate would be coming and going.

Group tickets are on sale now with individual game tickets coming soon.
