Powerful storms ripped across the state late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning resulting in a number of power outages and downed trees.
Eversource reported as many as 80,000 outages at the peak of the storm and united illuminating reported about 2,200.
Many towns reported trees taking down power lines and closing roads.
In Manchester, a large tree fell into an apartment building on Oakland Street, missing bedrooms, by just a few feet.
"I heard a huge crash and looked through the front and the whole porch had been taken down by this," Jennifer Welch said. "It sounded like the entire roof came off it was crazy, I've never heard anything so loud."
Trees were also reported down across roads in Berlin, Windsor, West Hartford, Newington, Woodstock, New Hartford, Winchester and Bolton.
