Waterbury police arrest man in connection with weekend murder

WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Waterbury said they arrested a man in connection with a weekend murder and the stabbing of another man.

Dario Rosado, 25, is accused of stabbing 22-year-old Ricardo Medina to death around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Police said Medina was walking on Baldwin Street when he was stabbed twice in the chest and once in the side.

He was transported to St. Mary's Hospital where he died.

Police said Rosado also stabbed 31-year-old Andres DeLeon in the side. DeLeon was treated and released from St. Mary's Hospital.

Rosado was arrested on an warrant that charged him with murder, criminal attempt at murder and first-degree reckless endangerment.

He'll face a judge on Monday morning, according to police.
