New Britain Bees to hold job fair to fill staff for 2016 season

NEW BRITAIN, CT (WFSB) -

A minor league baseball team in Connecticut is in need of game day staff and to solve that problem they are holding a job fair next month.

The New Britain Bees will hold a job fair at New Britain High School on March 12.

The Bees need to fill the following game day staff positions for the 2016 season:

  • Ushers
  • Ticket takers
  • Vendors
  • Merchandise
  • Parking lot attendants
  • Box office assistants
  • Bat boys
  • Cleaning crew
  • Security,

The Bees will also interview for the team's promotional crew. Those positions include:   

  • On-field host
  • Public address announcer 
  • Music coordinator
  • Video board operators
  • Camera
  • Team mascot performer

The food service provider of the Bees is the Legends. They are also looking to fill the following positions:

  • Seasonal interns 
  • Stand managers
  • Servers, cashiers
  • Warehouse workers
  • Cooks
  • Dishwashers
  • Vendors
  • Administrative help.

All applicants must be 16 years old or older and those in attendance will be receive first consideration for 2016 season.  

The first game of the inaugural season for the New Britain Bees is on April 21 at New Britain Stadium. The New Britain Bees is a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
