One of the hottest names in music made a visit to Connecticut to show off his skills as a fitness instructor and promote his new workout videos.
The A/M Fitness in the Milldale section of Southington felt like a rap stage when Billboard top 40 mainstay Flo Rida arrived on Tuesday morning.
“I'm so nervous,” Cynthia Marschat, of East Hartford, said. “My heart's racing, I'm so excited.”
Flo Rida coached a workout class, which promoted his Flo Fit videos. The rapper said it was very natural move for him.
“Oh man, it’s like organic to my lifestyle you know being on stage for over an hour. You definitely have to have your cardio up,” Flo Rida said. “So, prior to me having a career in music, I always enjoyed working out.”
A phone call to her favorite radio station, Kiss 95.7 got Marschat a spot in this coveted class and it came at the perfect time for this mother of a young child.
“I had my son about three years ago, so a good three years of no working out whatsoever and my resolution is come on let’s get going,” Marschat said while laughing. “I thought this was a way to really get the kick start to exercise.”
Flo Rida said he enjoyed his visit to Southington on Tuesday.
"I'm excited as well these are the people that support my career,” Flo Rida said. “I don't consider them fans, I consider them family.”
