A man accused of stealing money from people looking to purchase pets faced a judge on Wednesday.
Court officials said Quincy Wilson, 21, of Suffield, made an appearance in Hartford community court.
His case was sent to criminal court.
Police said Wilson pretended to sell dogs and kittens through the website Craigslist, but it was all a ploy.
They said he would meet buyers on Groton Street in Hartford, take their money and run.
