MANCHESTER, CT (WFSB) -

An East Windsor man is facing charges after police said he was seen pouring gasoline onto a home in Manchester before trying to light it on fire.

Manchester police were called to a home on Devon Drive at about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, where 24-year-old Zachary Reddick was seen walking away from the home after the fire did not ignite.

Police said the motive appears to be related to an earlier theft from the suspect while attending a get together at the victim’s home.

Four people were inside of the home at the time. No injuries were reported.

Reddick was charged with first-degree criminal attempt to commit arson, first-degree reckless endangerment, and third-degree criminal mischief.

He was held on a $200,000 bond and is expected to appear in court on Thursday.
