Body found near Hartford river identified as missing New Britain woman

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Hartford police have identified a body found near a river in Hartford as a missing woman from New Britain.

Deputy Chief Brian Foley said the woman is 23-year-old Lamik Queen Lozado of Chestnut St., New Britain.

He said the investigation was ongoing.

Lozado's body was found near Woodland Street Wednesday morning. Police said they were called to an area along the Hog River, which runs behind an apartment building.

The found her along the river bank.

Tuesday night, police said they arrested 37-year-old Ronnie Gineyard at his Woodland Street apartment. Though his arrest was for drugs, police said he's a suspect in a missing person's case out of New Britain.

Police have not released information on a cause of death.
