WINDSOR LOCKS, CT (WFSB) -

A Massachusetts woman was arrested for allegedly hitting a police cruiser while driving drunk and texting.

Police said 33-year-old Ibolya Horvath rear-ended Enfield Police Officer Christopher Dufrensne’s cruiser while he was at a stop light.

He had his police dog with him at the time.

Just before midnight on Tuesday, police said Horvath was drunk and was on her cell phone when she was at the intersection of Main Street and the Route 140 bridge in Windsor Locks.

Dufrensne lives in Windsor locks but was heading to work in Enfield. He hurt his neck and back but is expected to recover. His dog wasn’t hurt.

Horvath is due in court on March 14.
