A man was rescued early Sunday morning after his car landed on its roof in the Norwalk River.
At about 1:30 a.m., police said a man drove his car through a guard rail at Main and Wall streets, at a high rate of speed. The car then landed in the river, and was partially submerged under water.
Crews were able to get to the driver, who was taken to Norwalk Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
A firefighter who had cuts on both of his hands was also treated at the hospital.
