MONTVILLE, CT (WFSB) -

Crews in Montville are investigating after a shed fire on Tuesday afternoon left one man dead.

The fire was reported at a little after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at a shed on Depot Road in Montville.

Officials said when crews arrived they found a small shed in flames. It was not attached to a home.

The victim was found dead inside the shed.

Connecticut State Police and an explosion investigative unit are assisting with the investigation and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

The victim has not been identified and it is unclear what caused the fire.

No other injuries were reported.

Neighbors who did not want to be identified said the victim was a good man, and that they hope to learn more about what happened soon.
