A Wethersfield police officer was injured after getting hit by a car on Tuesday evening.
At a little before 7 p.m., Police said Officer Peter McGee was at the scene of a crash on Wells Road, near Wolcott Hill Road, and was standing outside of his cruiser when he was struck.
He suffered injuries to his leg and back, but is expected to make a full recovery.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
