BRISTOL, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Bristol said they're looking for a man who robbed a gas station around 11 p.m. on Monday.

They said it happened at the Valero store at 105 West St.

The suspect used a knife to rob the cashier, according to investigators.

It happened just as the cashier was getting ready to close for the night.

The suspect demanded money and threatened to kill the cashier, police said.

The cashier handed over an undetermined amount of money from a register and the suspect fled on foot.

Police described him as a stocky man wearing a mask and dark clothing.

A search of the area with a K9 unit did not yield any results.

The victim was not hurt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bristol Police Department at 860-584-3011.
