Cromwell Police investigating gas station robbery

CROMWELL, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Cromwell are investigating after they say a man robbed a Cumberland Farms gas station at 38 Berlin Road. 

According to police, On scene investigation revealed that the suspect entered the business alone and approached the register area. The suspect demanded the employee give him the money from the register. 

The employee, believing the suspect was armed with a weapon, complied and the suspect subsequently left the business on foot running eastbound with an undetermined amount of money. 

Police describe the suspect as a black male, about 190-215 pounds and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a black colored hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored pants. 

No injuries were reported and police are actively investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Cromwell police at 860-635-2256.
