Tickets for the New Britain Bees’ inaugural season went on sale Saturday.
Officials told Eyewitness News they had a great turnout and about 250 people lined up at the park's box office starting at 5:30 a.m.
About 3,000 tickets were sold on Saturday.
Fans in line also got a first look at the team's mascot Sting was also unveiled on Saturday.
"After a long search for our first-ever mascot, Sting will be a welcome addition to our roster. We took suggestions from fan feedback as well as direction from Scollon in creating his character. He made an impressive debut earlier today and we look forward to seeing him in action on and off the field this season and beyond," Bees GM Patrick Day said in a release on Saturday.
