Danbury's annual St. Patrick's Day parade has been canceled, according to city officials.
Mayor Mark Boughton confirmed the cancellation Sunday morning, citing one of the event's organizers, the Danbury Ancient Order of Hibernians.
It had been set for 3 p.m. on Sunday.
The Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center, another of the parade's organizers, said it was due to the expected wintry weather for the day.
Boughton said a rescheduled date has not been set and that it would be up to the AOH.
