Two clerks are being accused of rigging the Five Card Cash game in November.
Eyewitness News reported that the game was suspended last year, but now investigators said Vikas Patel, owner of Hartford Liquor on Capen Street, and his relative Pranav, an employee at Center Spirit Shoppe in Canton, would keep many of the “instant winning” tickets.
In a span of five months, investigators said the two racked up more than $90,000 in fraudulent wins at their stores.
The pair has been charged with larceny, rigging and other computer crimes.
After investigators found other suspicious activity surrounding the game, it remains suspended.
