Fundraiser set up for teen battling rare disease

ROCKY HILL, CT (WFSB) -

Charles Hayes, 13, was diagnosed with a life-threatening immunodeficiency known as HLH.

Eyewitness News has learned that a fundraiser has been set up to help “Team Charlie.”

Hot Heads Salon in Rocky Hill will be hosting a cut-a-thon next Monday.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the salon on Cromwell Avenue.

All proceeds from haircuts and blow drys will go to Charlie and his family.
