Sources with knowledge of the investigation said that a landlord tenant eviction dispute lead to a deadly shooting in Bethel on Friday afternoon.
Police received a 911 hang up from a home on Governor’s Lane just around 3 p.m. However, police said when they called back, no one answered the phone.
Officers were "sent to the house as a matter of routine," police said. Once on scene, officers said they heard one shot fired.
Once inside the home, police said officers found three people, two men and one woman, suffering from gunshot wounds.
One person was dead while the other two people were rushed to Danbury Hospital, police said.
The deadly shooting was called a "domestic incident" by Bethel First Selectman Matt Knickerbocker.
Sources with knowledge of the investigation said the incident appears to be a murder suicide attempt over a land lord tenant eviction dispute.
