A man from Plainfield faces a list of charges after what was supposed to be a simple motor vehicle stop.
Police said around midnight on Tuesday, they attempted to stop 35-year-old Richard R. Bourey Jr. in the area of Central Village when he took off and engaged officers in a pursuit.
They said Bourey eventually lost control of his vehicle in the area of Jackson Road and ended up fleeing on foot.
Officers said they continued their pursuit and caught him a short distance away.
Police said they charged Bourey with operating under the influence, interfering with police, engaging officers in a pursuit, operating under suspension, operating without insurance, operating without registration, misuse of registration plates and a stop sign violation.
He's scheduled to face a judge on April 11 in Danielson.
