HEBRON, CT (WFSB) -

A Connecticut veterinary hospital asked for the public's help locating the owner of a German Shepherd that was struck by a car this weekend.

A young German Shepherd was hit by a vehicle on Route 66 in Hebron on Saturday.

The pet was brought to Hebron Veterinary Hospital where it is being treated.

On Saturday afternoon, the owner of the German Shepherd was located and agreed to pay for the animal's treatments.

The dog is named Diego and he is doing well, Hebron Veterinary Hospital said.
