A mosque in Meriden held an interfaith peace event on Saturday.
The event was held at the Baitul Aman “House of Peace” Mosque on Main Street.
It was meant to educate and clarify misunderstood core values of Islam.
On hand asking for forgiveness was Ted Hackey, who pleaded guilty to charges of shooting at the mosque next to his home last year.
Hackey faces 20 years in prison.
