The Gold Star Bridge between Groton and New London was closed in both directions following a number of crashes.
However, it reopened just before 9:30 a.m.
State police reported the closure to Eyewitness News just after 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
They said it was due to icy conditions.
Monday's snow storm made for some slick driving conditions along the shoreline, particularly along Interstate-95.
They called the closure brief.
The Department of Transportation treated the highway for ice.
