HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Following a fourth consecutive NCAA title and an eleventh all time, printing shops have been busy pumping out University of Connecticut championship gear.

Hats and T-shirts commemorating the UConn women's basketball team's win over Syracuse are ready for store shelves.

Gima Sport in Hartford has been making hats since about 6 a.m. on Wednesday. It said the goal was to make 1,000 by the end of the day.

It said before Tuesday night's game was even over, orders came pouring into the business.

"It's really nice to have the girls' hats this year, which in the past we really haven't gotten big numbers," said Roberto Giansiracusa, Gima Sport.

Gima Sport said it's printing the hats for several sporting goods stores. It can do up to 42 at a time. Each cycle takes about 17 minutes.

"We have to get these hats out by the end of the day so that they can get into the stores by either [Wednesday night] or [Thursday]," Giansiracusa said.

The staff told Eyewitness News that the design is one of its most detailed ever with 15,000 stitches and a "4" and "11" embroidered into the fabric.

"We're not able to push out as many as we like because if it was about 5,000 stitches, we'd probably triple the capacity," Giansiracusa said.

In Guilford, Zuse said it began printing T-shirts on Tuesday to get ahead of the demand.

"We've got two presses running," said Dennis Powers, Zuse. "We're getting about 500 shirts, 4 to 500 shirts off a press an hour, so we have a few thousand pieces to fulfill."

Powers said the turnover is quick, but it's something his staff said they've had a lot of practice doing.

"I've been printing championship shirts for quite a few years," he said. "We're kind of use to this hot-market printing. It's something that we seem to be doing every year whether it's men or women."
