A man recently hired by a restaurant in South Windsor is accused of burglarizing the business.
Police said they arrested 44-year-old Geoffrey Weaving of Bristol on Thursday.
They said surveillance footage showed Weaving taking $900 from an office.
Employees told police they recognized Weaving as someone the restaurant recently hired.
He later admitted his involvement with the crime, according to police.
The money was recovered and an arrest warrant obtained.
Police charged Weaving with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny.
He was held on a $40,000 surety bond and scheduled to face a judge on Thursday.
