A Norwalk woman was arrested Saturday morning for allegedly running a drug trafficking ring.
Hilary Guillen, 21, was arrested around 2:15 Friday at Rowayton Woods Condominium complex in the Rowayton area of town.
Police said Guillen took over a heroin drug ring for her boyfriend, Sylvester Edwards, after he was arrested on April 6.
Police searched Guillen's home last week on Leuvine Street. They found nearly 500 bags of heroin and a large amount of unpackaged heroin.
Although Guillen was not home, police arrested two men who were at the residence.
Sylvester Edwards, who police said was Guillen's boyfriend, was arrested on April 6.
Through surveillance, police said they discovered a "stash house" that the couple had at the Rowayton Woods Condominium complex.
Police searched Guillen and found 60 bags of heroin in her pockets.
At the condominium complex, police discovered more than 670 bags of heroin and 700 empty bags.
Guillen was charged with four counts of possession of narcotics, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of operating a drug factory.
