MERIDEN, CT (WFSB -

Two men were seriously injured after being shot multiple times from a drive-by shooting in Meriden early Wednesday morning.

Police received multiple 911 calls about shots fired in the area of 27 Randolph Ave. around 1 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a Honda with "multiple bullet holes," but no one inside the vehicle.

While investigating the scene, police heard people screaming from a second floor porch. Inside the home, police said they found two men had been shot multiple times.

Police determined that the unidentified 23-year-old and 27-year-old men were sitting in the Honda when another Honda pulled alongside them. Someone fired multiple shots into the Honda.

One man was shot in the head while the other in the stomach, police said. One of the victims was rushed to a local hospital by LIFE STAR medical helicopter, police said.

One of the victims has been released from the hospital while police have not released the other victim's condition.

The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Meriden Police Department at 203-630-6201.
