Clinton, Trump, Sanders coming to CT this weekend

NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump are coming back to campaign in Connecticut this weekend while Republican presidential candidate John Kasich visits the state on Friday and Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders campaigns on Sunday. 

Trump is expected to stop in Waterbury on Saturday at Crosby High School at 10 a.m. Doors open at 7 a.m. He will be at the Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. 

Clinton join Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro and members of the community in New Haven for a conversation on working families, according to her campaign office. That event will be at 1:45 p.m. at Orangeside on Temple, which is located at 25 Temple St., in New Haven. 

On Sunday, Clinton will attend a Get Out the Vote event in Bridgeport. The event is to "urge Connecticut voters to cast their ballots on Tuesday." The event will be inside the Harvey Hubbell Gymnasium at the University of Bridgeport, which is located at 120 Waldemere Ave., around 2:15 p.m. Doors open at 12:15 p.m.

Clinton's campaign office said she will "discuss why she is the best candidate to break down the racial, social and economic barriers that hold families back as president."

Clinton visited Hartford on Thursday to discuss gun violence. 

Her own daughter, Chelsea Clinton, began campaigning for mother on Wednesday. She spoke broadly about why her mother should win the Democratic nomination, but also focusing on guns.

Republican presidential candidate John Kasich will be at Glastonbury High School at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. He campaigned at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield earlier this month.

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will campaign in New Haven on Sunday night. The Sanders' campaign said he will hold a rally for the New Haven Green, located at 65 Church St., at 7 p.m. with the doors opening at 4 p.m.

On Monday, there will be a rally in Hartford at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, 300 Columbus Blvd. Doors will open at 7 a.m. and the rally will start at 10 a.m.

Trump and Clinton lead among likely Connecticut primary voters in the latest edition of the Quinnipiac University Poll.
