Police arrested a man in Bridgeport Friday morning for the murder of Javoni Patton.
Bernard Brandon, 33, of Bridgeport, was arrested at a home in the west side of the city.
On Feb. 11, Patton was found suffering from several gunshot wounds at the intersection of Stratford and Connecticut Avenue.
Patton's car was nearby with the driver's door open and personal items from his car were scattered.
Patton died shortly after he was transported to Bridgeport Hospital.
Patton was the first murder in Bridgeport in 2016.
Brandon was charged with murder, criminal possession of a pistol, carrying a pistol without a permit and possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.
His bond was set at $1,000,000.
