MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WFSB) -

The Harvard Pilgrim Middletown Half & Legends 4-Mile announced Friday it will honor the life of a Middletown resident killed last March.

The marathon, which was originally scheduled for April 3, will be lined with blue ribbons to remember Barbara Eddinger.

Eddinger, 61, was killed in a hit-and-run accident outside her home on March 31.

So far, no one has been charged in her death.

Runners will also be wearing the ribbons.

The race will start of 11:30 a.m. on the Union Green in Middletown.

The course will go through the Wesleyan University campus and Wadsworth Falls State Park.

The Hartford Marathon Foundation said participants are also encouraged to bring perishable items to donate to the Amazing Grace Food Pantry.
