NEW BRITAIN, CT (WFSB) -

The New Britain Bees are kicking off their first Sunday home game in pink.

The team has temporarily turned their baseball park pink for breast cancer.

The event will be called Pink in the Park Day for their first Sunday home game to benefit the Connecticut Breast Health Initiative

BHI is a non-profit that provides grants to support education and research in Connecticut.

Sue Rivard, a 6 year breast cancer survivor and lead singer of CT based band "Fountainhead", will sing the National Anthem.

The game will start at 1:35 p.m.
