Rain and clouds are making for a dreary start to the month of May.
Sunday has been rainy and chilly, and showers are expected to linger into the evening hours.
While a few showers could roll through overnight, most of the state should be dry, especially after midnight.
More rain is on tap for Monday.
“The storm that brought rain Sunday will move out to sea to the east of New England on Monday, but a deep “upper level” trough (a low pressure center at higher altitudes) will bring more rain,” Cameron said.
There is the possibility for heavier bands of rain throughout the day, especially during the afternoon.
Monday will be cool with highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Tuesday morning may be rainy, but it won't be a wash-out.
Partly sunny skies are expected to develop and highs will reach well into the 60s.
