New Haven police are looking for a person who shot two people early Saturday morning and then fled.
Police were called to the area of 4 Arthur Street just after 3 a.m. on reports a man and a woman had been shot outside the home.
Officers arrived to find the two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police said it appears the man and woman were involved in an argument with another person when the situation escalated. That person then pulled out a gun and shot both victims before fleeing the scene.
Police have identified the victims as 29-year-old Wade Johnson of New Haven and 22-year-old Taylor Barnes also of New Haven.
According to police, Johnson was shot in his hip and Barnes was shot in her abdomen.
The victims were both rushed to Yale-New Haven Hospital, police said Johnson was treated and released. Barnes underwent surgery and is listed in serious, but stable condition.
Police have been unable to obtain a description of the suspect at this time. It was initially reported that the shooter may have been a female, but police said they have not been able to confirm that currently. Officers are combing through surveillance video from the area now in hopes it will provide some information.
