The 20th annual Live Well 5K begins Sunday morning just in time for Mother's Day.
The race begins at 9 a.m. and finishes at Milford Hospital.
Participants can either run or walk.
The event will be presented by Oncology Hematology Care of Connecticut and Subway Restaurants and various health centers.
The race follows what officials call a follows a scenic, seaside course through the Fort Trumbull area.
Chip timing technology will track the runners.
This year, awards will be given to the top three males and females in each age group and the top Milford Hospital employees.
A new award this year for the top mother and child team finisher and all of the mom's participating in the event will receive a Mother's Day flower.
Proceeds will go to cancer and prevention screenings and educational programs and materials offered by Milford Hospital throughout the year.
Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m.
