Hartford police arrested a 17-year-old Windsor juvenile Sunday evening in connection with the Mather St. shooting of a 15-year-old male on May 4th.
Police responded to 154 Mather St., Willy’s Super Deli after calls of a serious injury. Upon arrival, police said they found a 15-year-old Hartford male suffering from a gunshot wound to the left side of his neck.
Police reviewed surveillance video and discovered a male who police believe to be the victim throw a brick at a black Nissan Maxima, traveling east on Mather St.
Moments later, police said surveillance video revealed the Maxima pulled up alongside the victim. Shortly thereafter, the video revealed the victim fall to the ground.
Police later located the unoccupied black Maxima behind 146 Barbour St.
Police said surveillance video and a witness saw two male suspects fleeing the area.
Police have charged one juvenile with attempted murder, first degree assault, reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit.
The juvenile is being held on a $500,000 bond.
