A Connecticut man was stopped at LaGuardia Airport in New York over the weekend for having several deadly martial arts weapons.

The Transportation Security Administration said it arrested the unidentified New Haven man on Saturday.

It said the man had a dagger, throwing knives, a throwing star and an expandable throwing star.

The weapons were detected in the man's carry-on items as he was entering a checkpoint.

The TSA said it notified the Port Authority Police. The weapons were confiscated and there was no impact on airport operations.

The man's identity was not released.
