Cox Communications customers reported service outages for several hours on Monday, but by 10 p.m. service had been restored.
The company’s verified Twitter account "Cox Customer Care" was seen on Monday afternoon responding to customers in Connecticut, stating there was an outage in the area.
Customers all over the state were reporting internet, phone and cable outages.
It is unclear right now what caused the outage, but at 10 p.m. the company said service for business and residential customers has been restored.
The company said crews were still conducting "due diligence to ensure that everything is 100 percent operational."
