MERIDEN, CT (WFSB) -

An arrest has been made in the shooting at a sports bar in Meriden that happened last month.

Police said 24-year-old Erick Gomez was arrested on Monday near Detroit, Michigan.

The shooting was reported outside Noiise Sports Bar just before 2 a.m. on April 10. Three people were shot outside the bar.

Gomez allegedly fired the shots and then fled the scene.

He is currently being held in Michigan as a fugitive from justice. When he returns back to Connecticut, Gomez will be charged with first-degree assault, and will be faced with other charges. He will be held on a $1 million bond.

In the last six months, police said officers were called to the bar five times for things as serious as an assault and a burglary.

Neighbors have told Eyewitness News in the past that they want to see the bar gone for good.

A few days after the shooting, the bar closed temporarily. It is unclear at this time if it has reopened.
