A 10-year-old girl and her mother who reported missing in Florida have been found safe in Enfield, according to police in Florida.
Police in Bradenton, FL, said they had been searching for Emma Mischaud, whose mother left abruptly on Tuesday night.
Suzanne Knight, Emma's mother, got into an argument with her son and daughter-in-law. Police said she made comments about hurting herself and others while on the way to Florida from Connecticut.
Knight made the trip to help her son and his wife move into an apartment.
She mentioned going back to Connecticut, but police said they hadn't heard from her as of Wednesday night.
Knight shut off her phone and contacted no one.
She told police that she had no idea anyone was looking for her because her phone was off.
Police said they hoped the mother and daughter were ok and were just concerned about their well-being.
Both were said to be in good health when they were found Thursday morning.
Police said there were no pending charges for Knight.
Enfield police said the Amber Alert was canceled.
